VOC Port Trust plans third container terminal

According to reports, the VO Chidambaranar (VOC) Port in Thoothukudi plans to construct a third container terminal with the current handling capacity at the two private terminals set to reach its maximum by end of this fiscal.

ALBA Asia starts coal terminal at VOC port

ALBA Asia Pvt Ltd has opened a new coal terminal at VO Chidambaranar Port Trust (VOCPT) in Tamil Nadu?s Thoothukudi district. The 10-million-tonne (mt) terminal will help VOC port raise its coal handling capacity to 24 mt by 2019.
